We returned to the Savoy Hotel in Ayr, this time for Paul & Erin’s wedding. They are keen hill-climbers, evident by the hill-walking boots on top of the wedding cake. Indeed, Paul can boast having climbed Ben Nevis, which is quite a feat for most people, especially since I can barely climb to the top of Sauchiehall Street without breaking a sweat.
This party went very, very well, even to the point that Paul could not leave the dance-floor and everybody was very hot and sweaty. Indeed, there was a mass exodus when the back-door was opened at the end of the evening just so as people could get some fresh air, stand in the rain – oh and even wash their hair in the wet grass to cool down – it’s true!
