We apologise for a lack of pictures on this gallery, which is due to to
Lithium AA batteries not living up to what is claimed on the packaging (grrrrr!!!)
and us not having any spares and mistakenly thinking that they would last
the entire night.
It is often said that Forth Gala is one of the best gala events in
Lanarkshire, if not Central Scotland, even though there are many others and
some are a wee bit bigger.
This year it was the turn of Sarah to be Queen of the Heather and
fortunately the wet weather held off until after the main part of the
celebrations and crowning ceremony were over, until the party in the big
hall at the top o' the toon.
There were other celebrations as well, including Dot Angus' 70th Birthday
that very day, as well as the 23rd Anniversary of Janice & George, whilst
Jim & Edi were celebrating 12 years together. Well done.
Congratulations to Sarah, Robbie and all the rest of the gala court.
